For Woolworths’ Easter celebration, we created an Easter experience at two food markets in Cape Town and in Johannesburg.
The food was inspired by nostalgic, Easter sweets and treats, and included the following:
Sweet and savoury jaffle stations:
Using hot cross buns as the bases, guests could either have a sweet or savoury jaffle. The sweet option was filled with marshmallow Easter eggs, chopped roasted hazelnuts and chocolate hazelnut spread, which was then drizzled with toffee. The savoury jaffles were filled with smoked cheddar, sun-dried tomato, onion marmalade and jalapeño atchar. Both jaffles were finished off with bunnies stamped into the buns.
Fill your own egg:
Guests could choose from a variety of fillings such as multi-coloured eggs, marshmallows and have their chocolate egg shell filled and beautifully wrapped.
Here, sugar biscuits were decorated with chocolate Easter bunnies, using our 3D printer.
The Easter egg hunt:
We set up an interactive Easter egg hunt with 10 stations that included bunny hopping games, bashing open carrot-shaped pinatas, fishing and digging for carrots to find the hidden eggs. The participating kids received a variety of chocolate eggs and bunny ears.
